PTSA Newsletter January
On behalf of the entire PTSA Executive Board/Committees: Debra Aleman, Tarah Mysorewala, Amy Leschhorn, Carole Prozor, Eva Maloney, Alicia and Richard Velez, Danta Simonsen, Annie Rivera, Belinda Berginz, Gretchen Hoover, Sandy Wolf and Jane Marquardt, we thank you for your continued support of our PTSA.
As a parent, becoming a member of West Broward High School PTSA will not only establish you within a network of information, but also give you a voice in making decisions for your child, for our school, and its numerous activities.
Your PTSA proudly supports the students and faculty of West Broward High School.
More importantly, your PTSA Board members work hand in hand with Broward County Council and Florida PTA in advocating for advances in education for your children, as well as sponsoring the Senior Scholarship Fund and Bobcat Award programs! We awarded 14 $500.00 scholarships to deserving Seniors. We presented 57 Bobcat awards to students at our annual “Red Carpet Awards.” WBHS PTSA consistently places at the county and state level for our Reflections Program, which is a creative arts competition. WBHS PTSA has also been recognized with many awards by Broward County Council and Florida PTA!
While membership does not obligate you to volunteer, if you have the time, we would love to work with you as a volunteer! In doing so, you will assist us in creating a close community of families, meet other parents and form friendships that will last a lifetime.
Our membership goal this year is one membership for each student. Membership is just $10.00 per person. Please ask your family members to become members! It is through your membership dollars that we are able to continue to support and advocate.
Your PTSA cannot accomplish all of our goals without the help of all of our Bobcat families.
Please start out the school year by supporting West Broward High and of course, your children.
Thank you and if you have any questions, please email me!
